Nephi Walton received an MD as well as a masters in Biomedical Informatics from the University of Utah, where his work was focused on using data mining and predictive analytics in the fields of genetics, bio-surveillance and hospital management. He has won awards for his work in data mining in healthcare and has written a book on predictive analytics in healthcare. He is currently a clinical genetics fellow at Washington University where his work is focused on mining genomic data and implementing genomic information into the clinical workflow.
