Senior UX/Service Designer
An entrepreneur, trained professional dancer, anthropologist and educator, Yauri Dalencour is a founding member of Fannie Mae’s new CDX team and is concerned with intersections between art, culture, education and technology. Her passion for culture, design thinking and research fuels her research design strategies improving HCI to D&I experiences within corporate, educational and cultural/artistic settings. A knack for storytelling, personal narrative, creative expression and the human cultural experience, Yauri has used ethnography and Design Thinking in business and as part of her creative process as an artist for nearly two decades. Returning to the DC area in 2016, Yauri has traveled, lived and danced abroad, spending 14 years in NYC dancing professionally, teaching, researching and founding, EthnodanceologyCreativeTM (2007). In 2013, she relocated with her Googler, husband for a transfer from the NYC offices to the company's headquarters where she worked at San Francisco and Silicon Valley startups from health-tech, to diversity-tech, to fashion-tech with a mission to apply her skill set in the world of tech when many said an artist could not.
