Curtiss Barnes is the Managing Director for Digital Product Management & Design in Pearson’s Global Product organization. The Global Product team is responsible for a $2B+ portfolio of products serving K-12, Higher Education and English Language Learning markets across the world.    A member of the executive team, Curtiss oversees product strategy, product management and experience design for a broad range of Pearson’s digital content, assessment and delivery product offerings. His main focus is identifying ways to accelerate Pearson’s digital transformation and the transition away from traditional content and business models. His teams leverage digital media and advanced technology to innovate the next generation of high value, high quality and high impact learning solutions for Pearson’s customers globally.     Curtiss has a broad range of experience with enterprise and instructional systems that support the core missions of education. His functional expertise ranges from strategy, marketing and sales to product management and product development, to business development, alliances and mergers & acquisitions. Prior to joining Pearson, Curtiss held executive roles at large and small enterprises serving the education industry worldwide, including Cengage Learning, Oracle, PeopleSoft, and Campus Pipeline. Before his career transition to the commercial sector, Curtiss held positions in alumni and corporate relations, development, admissions and executive education at a number of higher education institutions.     Curtiss holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Clark University and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.    Curtiss lives in Lexington, MA with his wife and their three daughters.
